WDS was officially founded as a commercial grounds maintenance business with one truck, one trailer, and a few pieces of equipment when Virgil was 19 years old. The idea was planted much earlier, in the second grade, following his father around to local plumbing jobs — where he learned the importance of being prompt, doing the job right the first time, and standing behind your work. Three pillars of the company to this day.
